Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take... but by the number of MOMENTS that take our breath away...

Balance...

Well, times are a little hectic... so I haven't added any photos in a while, you've probably noticed! I'm processing orders and booking for the summer. Not to mention hockey, 4H and work. I'm even trying to sqeeze in a little me time... I know selfish isn't it!! Don't worry I'm not doing very good at it. I am so grateful for the time that I have at home, I think that I can safely say that I have acheived somewhat of a balance. If only my little one could entertain himself a little more... although he always seems happy just following me around while I try to keep up with the housework!
Ok, so I can't post without sticking in at least one picture! This has to be one of my favorites! Look, I caught his little tear!! He is just the cutest!!

Family Portraits!

I took these photos for another one of my bestest friends back in November. As you can see, I've been playing with black & white inside, while there is snow on the ground, outside. I'm not sure how much "studio" stuff I will be doing, cuz it might get a little costly to really set up for that. But I will do what I can. I love this because you can really focus on the subjects.

Just another "pose"! I really like the sepia look to this shot, it makes it warm to me.

This captures them, truely. Very lighthearted and happy. Thanks, guys!

I love photography, for so many reasons! One being the final results and how you really capture them in the moment.

Valentines Day Is Around the Corner!

Design by Teresa N.

The last two are designed by Bobbie's Custom Templates

Just some ideas for your valentine!!  Some of your kids may be coming home with them from my kids this year, just a little something different!
So, is anyone doing anything special this year on Valentines Day?  I love this day, only because I am such a pathetic, hopeless romantic.  Any excuse to go overboard on romance is more than welcome here!!  Although we never really do too much, we make an extra nice meal (we usually eat pretty fancy anyway, cuz my husband loves to cook), crack open the sparkling apple juice and then break out the pink, heart decorated cupcakes that the kids made!!  So, we'll see!

If anyone is interested in some cards, there are also a couple other different designs, so just email me for more info.  My email is at the very bottom of the blog!

A Few Family Shots

Here are a few shots of one of my best friends family.  We had a lot of fun and even the little guy put up with the whole idea for quite a while!  Can't beat the colors of fall!

Another beautiful family!  Thanks guys for letting me share this, you are the best!!

Winter Fun!

I know I should've used my flash, it was just at that time of day... anyway, I wanted to share them cuz they just had so much fun! I just love the expression on his face! I also love how I can live through them, I have to enjoy this just watching because I would never be able to do that now!

Her face too is priceless! This jump actually scared me to look at, but even my 3 year old was going over it! I just wasn't fast enough to catch that shot!

Fun Shots of the Kids

I went through some older shots I took of the kids, boy do they change fast! I can't imagine not being able to catch these moments and have them to look back on for years and years. Kids are just so much fun, challenging at times... but fun! They really do help you to keep things in perspective!
Isn't it cute (in a painful sort of way) how all kids hold cats!
Face painting at Pow Wow Days in Lac La Biche (I think!) She wanted to try bobbing for apples at home!
She did really good!

Misc.

I got this shot of the water bombers back in 2006. I haden't (is that a word?) had my camera long at this time, so I was playing. I really liked this picture!

Now I'm starting to miss summer. This was also taken in '06. It's neat to look back. I'm going to check out some older pics of the kids to post. Just to see how much they have changed and if my photography has actually come anywhere!!

30 something portraits...

Here is a good friend of mine, who, when she was 30 wanted some photos of herself for herself. To celebrate her 30th year. Really, what a wonderful idea. It is a great time in a women's life. Past childhood and young adult into mature women. It just feels empowering!

Cute little man!

Well, I almost slept in this morning!  I looked at the clock and saw 7:49.  I couldn't figure out what day it was... you know when you wake up confused because you were in such a deep sleep?  That was what it was like.  Then I realized that Kale had to be out the door for hockey in 10 minutes!  Holidays are over!  We did it though, he was dressed and feed, hockey gear in hand and out the door to Westlock!  Good luck in your game honey!!  So now that the rush is over and I am awake, I thought this to be a perfect time to add some more shots.  This little guy is so happy, it was so easy to get a smile out of him, he just didn't stop!

Just a few of my favorite shots of my kiddies to post for you to check out!  I just love these pics of them!  I love summer with all the vibrant colors!  But the snow makes for some pretty awesome photo opportunities as well!  I'm hoping to get out and get some scenery shots soon!

I am sharing my latest photo shoot.  This was so much fun and the family is sooooo beautiful!  I was able to learn more, which is always great!  I want to thank the family for this opportunity!  Looking forward to many more like this!
